Susan, this Samuel GEIGER (1 Jun 1796, Bulloch Co., GA - 11 Sep 1861, Gainesville, Alachua, FL) is a son of Abe GEIGER and Mercy MARTIN. He's the one who had four wives. There is a lot on him in the Archives of the GEIGER List. >From my notes: [Beverly Burton says: "Corp. Jeremiah, Priv. Cornelius and Priv. Samuel Geiger were soldiers in Pray's Regiment, GA Militia of the War of 1812."]. Samuel WAS quite young ... his brother Jeremiah was born in 1794 and their uncle Cornelius in 1774. While looking up people who served, found the listing for Samuel who served in the 2nd Regiment (Pray's) , Georgia Militia. This is the same unit as the one for Cornelius.
