Gerry, I'd better restate my words .... IF we have put our facts together right, that's who these three are! 16 was not too unusual to be joining the militia - those were desperate times! Re Ulrich's six known children: I don't have anything on militia service of brothers Abraham and John, but Felix (my 3rd ggf) was in Sgt. RAWLS' Co., Effingham Co., GA, from 1784 to 1815. I have his children all born in Bulloch Co., which was once part of Eff. Co. (sources may have been talking about the same place). He and brother Cornelius later put in for land grants in Wayne Co., where John Martin GEIGER (my 2nd ggf) later married. I don't have militia info on husbands of Rachel (if married) and Mary (marr. Jacob HOFFMAN) ... or any of the nephews! Would advise all to surf the GEIGER archives at http://searches2.rootsweb.com and threaded archives at http://archiver.rootsweb.com/ Anne C. -----Original Message----- From: Gerald Gieger <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Wednesday, October 11, 2000 3:14 PM Subject: Re: [GEIGER] Samuel Gieger >OH-OH! looks like I was wrong, but 1796 to 1812 would make him 16...Guess it >could be... > >While we were in Macon last month, I found a Register of the GA Militia, >which had several on it, including Abraham, Felix, and Cornelius.
