Gerry- There is no way to have an ancestor recognized as being an approved ancestor for DAR other than applying to DAR for membership and having the application and proofs approved by first the Chapter Register and then the DAR Registrar General and staff genealogist. What the DAR list of approved ancestors is is just a record of the ancestors that were used by those who did apply for membership and service and lineage was verified--it isn't intended to be an all-encompassing list of those who served in the Revolution. I have ancestors who served in the Revolution who aren't on the list that I never bothered to submit as supplementals. Joan
