Dear Joy; I am the one who forwarded all those messsages to you in response to your query with Joan about Herman's Sister and Brother-in-law...The Lutheran Pastor's Journal documents that Herman wrote and offered to pay their passage, however, we never knew if it was accepted...Seems now, that it may have been, or at least they got here by some means... I know that becasue of the "ethnic cleansing" (Oh, they didn't call it that, but it was the same, anyway) where the Bishops were clearing out all the protestants and siezing their property, the ones who stayed were very poor...also, those caught leaving were stripped of most of their assets...I think Hans Jacob, Abraham, and Herman fled with their families, just in time...or they would have lost it, too. Anyway, it is good that you have joined our List and we hope to be able to share and glean from each other's wealth of Data...WELCOME!!! I am a Texan, resident of the DFW metroplex, but presently on assignment in the Seattle area...so much of what I have comes from my memory...My files are in Texas...and if I find that I told you something incorrect, I will correct it...
