My great grandfather was George Geiger born in Switzerland on February 27, 1824. I think he emigrated about 1846. He came to Wisconsin. By 1868 he had a grocery store in Milwaukee. His first wife was Rebecca Schweke born in Hannover. They had three children: George, Maria (Mary) born August 25, 1857, who married Julius Neils and Anna Dorothea (called Dorris by the family), who married John Luerhing. His second wife was the sister of his first wife and was called Maria, later called Mary. They had children named Henry, Anna who married Fred Knoll, Sarah who married Carl Reimann, Verona who was born in 1881, Dietrich who was born in August 1869 and Edward who was born in February 1874. George Geiger died in 1895, but his sons George, Dietrich and Edward carried on the business, which, by then was wholesale grocery. Can anybody give me information about the descendants of these children, except for Mary who married Julius Neils (those I know)? My address is [email protected]
