Hello everyone: I am sitting at a Library computer, and wanted to tell you how much fun we had meeting each other at the Festival...It was great, even though it rained both days, a lot...We did not get to see all the 200 + cemeteries on Ft. Stewart, but we did get to Nancy's ggrandfather's grave site...I am staying a few more days to get in a little more research, and take advantage of Margie's familiarity with this area...I am so excited at this new material, and last night I read thru the entire book "Records of Effingham County, GA" I have several clues that I am going to follow up on... One thing: Remember Mary Hoffman, daughter of Ulric and Appolonia (yes, that is the correct spelling) mentioned in the Deed to his property...and we suspected she was a Widow...well I found her husband to be Jacob Hoffman...appears he was the second one...and died about 1803-4...In case anyone wants this info...Their daughter was Hannah E. Dolwich...from "Annals of Georgia" Vol II pg 63 compiled by Caroline Wilson 1976/1983. So. Historical Press... As soon as I get back to Texas, I will post Photos of Jesse and Tobitha's graves along with that of Martha Dikes(Dykes) and notify you where to find them... _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
