Gail... Lots of that surname still in MS as listed in the phone book. Now it appears the line ran into Purvis, Lamar Co. which is just south of Hattiesburg. While there were probably a lot of Geigers in the area at one time--Hattiesburg is large... There was a Thomas Bayard Geiger who lived there who had owned a printing or publishing business through the 1950's, I think. Now one of his children married a Thomas, but I know of no sons...but I know nothing of his line in particular. He was the son of Isaac Cornelius Geiger of Simpson, County. I couldn't find a William E. in the phone book for MS, but since he was born in 1942 there is a good chance he is somewhere as well the chances that Elizabeth Geiger, his wife, is still alive. There is a William E. listed in Alabama...only William E. listed for all states. This probably doesn't help much, but just an idea.
