I don't have the John H. Geiger you mentioned in my data base, but the "Freddie Geiger" road reminded me of something ... Buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, are three of Allen Geiger and Sarah Knight's children: Anna Geiger Wilson, Austin Geiger and Elbert (Elvington) Geiger. With them is a Miss Fred or Freddie Geiger, who died in 1975. Josephus Peeler (Joe) Hunter of Jax said he was told only that she was a sister of Mrs. Gertrude Geiger Peeler (his aunt), who held the deed to the lot. Not important - just an interesting coincidence. Mary Phillips thinks John Carter was a friend of her brother and that he died recently. She's written to her brother to verify this and is trying to find the obit. Will let you know if anything turns up.
