    3. Hey Cousins: Am I Excited???? I was perusing the listing of Original Georgia Salzburger Settlers <http://www.crosswinds.net/~djmabry/salzburger/salzsett.html> which was taken from George Fenwick Jones, ed. Detailed Reports on the Salzburger Emigrants Who Settled in America, Vol. X, (Athens, GA: The University of Georgia Press, 1988), pg 134-135. Under the 2nd Salzburg Transport which arrived on 28 Dec 1734 aboard the Prince of Wales of Capt. George Dunbar, there is a Thomas Bacher(d1748) and his wife, Maria Schweiger, with two daughters, Apollonia (b1729) and Maria(b1727) who married Balthasar Rieser in 1752... Am I Excited???? Page 48 of The Ebenezer Record Book lists a Rester (nee, Rieser??) couple as sponsors at the Baptism of Ulric's daughter, Rachel in 1769, and Page 64 lists a Rister (nee, Rieser??) couple as sponsors at the Baptism of Ulric's son, Cornelius in 1774... How logical can it be that the brother-in-law or nephew of our Grandmother Apollonia would sponsor her children's Baptism...So her maiden name would be Bacher, and it was right before our noses all the time...moreover, this same couple is listed on several other pages with the name spelled "Rester." A birth year of 1729 would be a compatible age to marry Ulric. Comments anyone??? See you at Ebenezer next weekend.
