This is funny... I say "gighger" with a soft 'h' but the German Grammer would pronounce it with the sound of the second vowell...albeit, I do not know if there is such a thing as a long "e" in German...or Switzerdeutsch... which is what out Swiss ancestors spoke... As far as I know, and have been able to speak with directly, the descendants in MS of Jessie & Tobitha, say and spell it GIEGER...like I do... Thanks, Anne...
