Mary Geiger JACKSONVILLE-Mary Bell Geiger, 82, of Jacksonville died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville. Born in St. Augustine the daughter of the late Leonardo and Cora Dicandio, Mrs. Geiger moved to Starke at an early age where she lived until 1988 when whe moved to Jacksonville. She was a homemaker and member of the Paxon Revival Center Church in Jacksonville. Mrs. Geiger is survived by: her children, Sue Strickland of Lakeland, Harvey Geiger of Moultrie, Ga. and Mary Lee Carswell of Jacksonville; her stepmother Margaret Dicandio; six sisters, Josephine Carrillo of Warren, Ohio, Thelma Denmark, Angelina Eddings and Millie Rose Dicandio, all of Starke, Selma Jones of Gainesville and Virginia Jones of Tampa; four brothers, James Nelson of Lake City, Mike Dicandio of Cocoa, Joseph Dicandio of Palm Bay and Leon Dicandio of Keystone Heights; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Homer Lee Geiger, a daughter Wanda Rhoden, a brother Lou Rogers and two sisters, Addie Reynolds and Bertie Faircloth. Funeral services for Mrs. Geiger were Jan. 6, 2004 in the Chapel of Archie Tanner Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Dobbs officiating with interment following in Dyal Cemetery with Archie Tanner Funeral Home of Starke in charge of arrangements. Note: I am of no relation, but my sympathies go out to those of you who are. This is here as a lasting memorial for Mrs. Geiger.
