Englebert arrived in 1871 aboard the Weser. I believe Philipina (don't know her maiden name) arrived in 1870. Englebert was a cabinet maker who worked and raised his family in Galveston until the big hurricane. They left after the hurricane, having lost children in the storm, and moved to Jackson Heights, Queens, NY where they lived out their lives. 4 of 9 children survived to adulthood: Bertha Geiger (never married) Cecil Geiger (never Married Molly Geiger (Married a genleman by the name of Brown and lived in Shaker Heights Ohio) And my Grandfather John William Geiger.
