My gg-grandmother was Frances Giger from the Marine, Madison County, Illinois area. Daughter of William Giger and Malinda Vinyard. Frances married James C. Reynolds of Madison County Illinois. Their daughter Linda Reynolds was my grandmother, she married Jacob Willmann. Regenia Campbell --- Regenia- Welcome to the GEIGER list! For the uninitiated <grin> your William is the son of John Giger and Susannah Creek, pioneer settlers of Saline Twp., Madison County, IL. John is the son of John Georg Geiger/Giger and wife Barbara Klein/Kline. John Georg is the son of Christian Geiger and Anna Maria Esskuchin. Christian was the immigrant ancestor of this Geiger line having arrived in PA on the Charming Nancy in 1737. While we don't yet know for sure exactly who Christian Geiger's parents were we do know that he was a cousin of John Paul Geiger of Geigertown who emigrated in 1749 on the Fane and was from Berwangen, Northern Kraichgau, Germany. Christian either emigrated from Richen or Berwangen--two towns that are quite near each other. Joan
