TO JOANN ROBERTS: RE your below email.... What exactly are you searching for??? For the parents/famioy of Jack Gordon Jones?? If so, you have some good years to work with. If he was killed in 1926, then you can find him (alive!) on the 1920 and the 1910 Census for Wlknsn Co., if that's where he was. Find him on either or both of those census, and it will give alot of info on him and his parents, etc. It will show WHERE HE *and* EACH OF HIS PARENTS AND SIBLINGS were born ..... and his wife of course, and each of his children. It will tell apprx what YR., because it will show the ages ....actually, in those later census', it may even show their birthdate at the date of the census, which is even better. If you know how OLD he was when he was killed, and you know the year, you can figure out what YEAR he was born, and you'llk now what state and perhaps county, and you then go back to THAT STATE/COUNTY for that YEAR, and find parents of that last name, and look for a child that would match up with his NAME and AGE. If you need any further help with this, let me know; will be glad to help. (If you already have done all this or know abt it, forgive my lengthy description! I'm never quite sure WHAT people know till I ask.....) GOOD LUCK! *TINA/CA* List Mgr. PS I have a JONES line myself, but not this county or this side of my family. Mine was in Camden/Charlton Co., mid 1800s. >Searching for Jack Gordon Jones of Toomsboro, Georgia. >My grandparents were Jack Gordon and Callie Cox Jones. My mother was Willie Mae Jones Hodges. All I know about Jack is that he was shot on the streets of Toomsboro in 1926 and the person responsible was later hung. My Mother would never talk about him and has left a real mystery for her progeny to unravel. I remember going to Toomsboro as a child. My grandmother had a boarding house there. The only facts I know about Jack are his birth(May 22, 1875) and death(August 21, 1926). Any help would be much appreciated. > appreciated. > > >
