Nancy Mathis or Mathews, and Priscilla Mathis or Mathews spouses of John and James and daughters of one Thomas Mathews or Mathis. I understand that Mathews and Mathis were somtimes used interchangeably in the 1700's. Tom was a Rev. veteran and the three brothers of this inquiry were members of Gen. David Blackshears Georgia Militia. They helped erect Ft. Telfair in 1813. I understand that Ft. Telfair was located somewhere in Twiggs County. I also understand that county boundries were somtimes different in early years so I am operating on the hunch that maybe a neighboring county might have infromation on the above named. The above named were very active in the Baptist faith. Can you put me on the right path? Bob --part1_c75b800f.2438b5dd_boundary--
