We know by records that he was the son of William and Margaret Montgomery of Wilkinson County. It is known that he had the following siblings: 1. Robert - moved to Indiana Territory 2. William - moved to Alabama 3. Ellender - 4. Nancy - 5. Sally - married Thomas Bozeman and moved to Crawford Co. (now Taylor Co.)
