    3. *HI ALL: (Duplicate Post for New Members!) As promised, here are some of the WLKNSN CO. resources you can order from SLC, thru your local FHC. I mostly picked out microFICHE because they are so inexpensive...ALL FICHE #'s begin with the number "6". All FILMS start with other numbers, so that's how you will know if it's a Film or Fiche. Again, Fiche cost only 15 cents per sheet/fiche -- and most books, for instance, can fit on only 3-5 fiche/sheets. Once at y our local FHC, they stay there for good ("indefinitely"). Films cost $3.75 to order, take a week or to to get there, and stay there for you and others to view, for 5 weeks (BUT IF you need it there longer, you can renew it and keep it there). This is not the ENTIRE list of what's available thru SLC on WILKINSON CO., but a good start! SLC has TONS of stuff on every state, every county, every subject!! (You can find all this, and much more, on the FHLC - "Family History Library Catalog" at your local FHC). ***** ON FICHE: 1860 Census...6105158 - (2 fiche= 30 cents!) * This would be excellent to order! Wlknsn Co.GA Hist.Collections, by J.T.Maddox...6048838 (9) (also excellent!) GA Cemeteries...6100651 (1) *** ON FILM: Misc.GA Deeds 1835-1865...Film #0262733, Item 3 (Item# is impt. when ordering!) (You can look on the [Description of this film at the FHC, just type in the Film#, and it gives TONS of names of people who are in these deeds, incl. my WM. WYNN] Wills & Cemeteries, 1817-1920...#1036239, Item 1 Marriage Recs., 1821-1941.... Marr. Licenses - 1823-1929...#1749659, Item 3 " " , v.3, A-C 1821-1828, 1865-1903....#1737805 " " v. D-E (that's what it says!) 1904-1941...1737806, Item 1-2 (if confused abt this, you can look at it at the FHC) Early Recs. of Wlknsn co. GA by Harold Heard (Marr. & Probate Recs. from publ. Ingmire [This is a book, dont think you can order books anymore...they used to put them on Fiche for us, but pretty sure they don't anymore--ask at FHC if interested, but pretty sure they don't.] Land Lottery, Wilknsn & Baldwin Cos. 1807-1808...#0465063, Item 4 Land Lottery Grants, 1805-1860 (on 7 reels of film)-includes INDEX (yeah!) [This shows "District #s, which you prob. wouldnt know which Dist. your ancestor was in....you'd almost have to look at this at FHC to know which to order...it also goes by YEARS]... The years overlap....so I'd suggest first ordering the DIST. 1-28 INDEX 1807-1828....#0514017 (that will prob. show you which Dist.) Gold & Land Lottery Register 1832...054018 Tombstone Recs: Polar Sprgs Cem, Toombsboro, Myrtle Sprgs, Ebenezer Church Cemeteries, near toombsboro; Raniah & Snow Hill Cems., near Gordon. #0007091, Item 13 Wlknsn Co. Cem.Recs. - Contents contains records of family cem.records of: Gilbert, Jackson, Kinney families - ...#0182825, Item 18-21 ****** ALSO AT MY LOCAL FHC, are the following resources on FICHE that were ordered (mostly by me! They are now at my FHC indefinitely. You can do the same! You can also look at your local FHC and ask to look at the List of all the Fiche they have there on GA): WILKES CO. MARRIAGES, LAND LOTTERY OF GA, 37,000 EARLY GA MARR., INDEX TO GA WILLS, INDEX TO SOME EARLY TX DIGESTS OF GA, CEM. RECS. OF GA, HISTORY OF LAURENS CO.GA, EARLY GA MARR. You can see there are lots of good things to order from SLC and have at your local FHC. You can't take them home of course, but they are wonderful resources you can have at your fingertips! Good luck! *TINA/CA* List Mgr.
