Just to give you a list of names of ancestors born and/or died there: Swint McBride Born 1783 Susan Allen ? James Allen born1809- died Novemebr 24, 1861 Children of James Allen, all born in Wilkinson County include the following: Susan; Perry Priscilla (buried Snow Hill Cemetary); Wiley; James; William; Elizabeth; Enoch; Adam Joseph; Richard; Leah Drusilla; Nancy Jane; Thomas Pleasant; Lewis Baxter. Susan Allen married Abrah Pitts. Their daughter Lydia Emmaline married George W. Snow on December 20, 1876 in Wilkinson County. Lydia Emmaline and George W. Snow were my Grandmother's grandparents!!! Lydia and Emmaline had a son, James Hampton Snow, born in Wilkinson County Sept. 17, 1885, James Snow had 12 children, one of whom is my Grandmother (presently living in Macon, GA. I am hoping to present Grandmother with a "Family Tree" for Christmas this year. She just turned 87 years old. She is excited at the prospect of discovering who her ancestors were. If you have any Land Records, Military Records, or ANY THING that might help me, I would appreciate it.
