>From the recently published book, "Wilkinson County,Georgia, Court of Ordinary Minute Book A, 1835-1858, by Miriam Mitchiner Brown p. 55, November Term (of Court) 1846: William Lindsey, Est.-Ellis Harville is appointed Adm., $6,000 bond. John Hoover, C.C. Beall, William A. Hall. Wily Vincent and E.J. Gilbert are the appraisers. This probably meant that William Lindsey died in the summer of 1846. Legally probate was to begin within six months of the death. There are several listings for Issac in the Index. I scanned a number of them in which he usually was being appointed to appraise an estate. In his Historical Collections, Joseph Maddox states that Isaac Lindsey was listed in the 1830 and his wife was Martha Moore; also in 1830 was William Lindsey, wife SaraGuley. He gives Isaac's birth year as 1807 and lists aboout 10 children but no William, nor does he give any additional information on William. I am afraid this limited information will be frustrating especially since so many of Wilkinson's records are lost. Elizabeth
