Clarissa, According to Davidson's History of Wilkinson County, the two Jones that you list were in Company D., 8th Regiment of the Georgia Militia. Kilby is listed as enlisting June 1, 1864 and being furloughed, over-age, and with disability by 10-1864. Iverson on the other hand, enlisted on the same date and was mustered out in Augusta, Georgia on March 14, 1865. This unit apparently saw action in the Battle of Griswoldville, 12-12-1864, and in Atlanta and may very well have been in the fighting about Chicamauga. Kilby was gone by the time Griswoldville happened, but most likely, Iverson was there. In case you don't know much about the battle, Griswoldville was a slaughter compared to Fredericksburg, Virginia. Battle Hardened Union Soldiers held the high ground while ill-trained and ill-equipped State Militia (mostly) charged the hill several times. Needless to say many good southern men lost their lives that day and Union losses were light. Anyway, my suggestion is to look up these folks in the microfilmed records of the National Archives to verify their records. While I have found Davidson's book invaluable, I have also found several errors.
