I am looking for the father of James B. and Hardy Horn, sons of Lucy and Unknown Horn. Their first definite appearance in Wilkinson Co. is in the 1850 GA census where this family was listed as Lucy, James and Hardy Hand. 1. LUCY1 was born 1806, and died Aft. 1850. Children of LUCY are: i. HARDY2 HORN, b. 1824; d. 1848, Jones Co., GA ?; m. HENRIETTA SCOTT, 18 Sep 1846, Jones Co., GA. 2. ii. JAMES B. HORN, b. 1832, Georgia; d. 02 Jul 1863, Gettysburg, Pa. Generation No. 2 2. JAMES B.2 HORN (LUCY1) was born 1832 in Georgia, and died 02 Jul 1863 in Gettysburg, Pa. He married MARY ANN Abt. 1851 in Georgia. Children of JAMES HORN and MARY are: i. I would also be interested in the whereabouts of the Mary and her children after 1870, as I have not been able find any of them except possibly Mary. There is a Mary Horn living in Twiggs Co. in the 1900 census close in age to James' wife. There is also a record of a Mary Horn of Twiggs Co. applying for a Civil War pension as the widow of a James Horn. Family history states that Delilah Augustann's children were all born in Wilkinson or Twiggs Co. Family history has Pope C. Williams as the father of William Coleman Horne and Jim Gilbert as the father of James Elijah. The name Pope was passed down in both of those families as a middle name.
