Hi Kris, I will give you the short of John CARTER's will, Laurens Co., SC, April 14, 1798: "John CARTER of Laurens Co., my well beloved wife Rachel [CHAMBERS], my son Wm. CARTER, and son-in-law Wm. McCRAREY/Mccrary...Wm. CARTER & Wm. McCRAREY executors. Witness: Robt. CARTER. John CARTER and Rachel CHAMBERS were married in Frederick Co., VA. about 1750-60? Migrated to SC abt. 1770. John CARTER descends from Quaker CARTERs of Bucks Co., PA, late 1600's; Rachel CHAMBERS family also was of Quaker origin. I thought I had something on a will for Wm. McCRARY, but I found no will info for him in my loose paper or my "Laurens Co., SC, Wills 1784-1840" book. I have lots on Laurens Co., SC, CARTERS.
