John CARTER is believed to have married Zilpha BENSON Jan. 1807 in Lincoln Co., GA. Richard & Joseph BENSON also drew land in Wilkinson Co. 1807 lottery. Amy CARTER married Etheldred BOZEMAN, son of Samuel & Ann RICHARDSON BOZEMAN. Samuel CARTER may have come to Wilkinson Co. with Rev. KING who I have heard started Mt. Nebo Church. The CARTERs & BOZEMANs have long been associated with the Baptist faith & later the Primitive Baptist faith.
