In the August 25, 2005 issue of the Wilkinson County News in Irwinton, Georgia there is an article which states: "On Saturday, September 24, a Confederate Marker will be dedicated to Samuel Boykin Collins in Black Springs Church Cemetery. An effort is being made to contact as many descendants as possible. Samuel Collins was married to Elmira Antoinette Babb in 1866 and they were parents of the following children: Addie Lee Collins, married John Joseph Carr; Mary Annie Collins, married Levi Blizzard; William Robert Collins, spouse unknown; Minnie Bell Collins married James B. Kennedy; Adelia Estelle Collins, married Winton Arnold; Lillie Beatrice Collins, married Albert Arnold. If you are connected or interested in this family, please contact Katherine C. I would like to correspond with any descendants of Rachel Babb [b. 1876] the daughter of Daniel Webster, [b.Oct. 1830.] Rachel Webster Babb had at least the following children: William [Will], Carrie [?], and Bessie Babb who m. a Neely. They were living in 1900 in Bloodworth Dist. of Wilkinson Co. Rachel Babb may have married again to an Evans. Daniel Webster also had a daughter Jane G., and a son Benjamin W. Webster. Thank you.
