Does anyone know of any Smith DNA testing? We are trying to determine the parents of our Archibald Bryant Smith. There were two Archibald's born about the same time. Both Davidson and Maddox listed Archibald Bryant who married Elizabeth Lewis as the son of William & Alethea Jackson Smith. They also list him as the son of Sampson & Sophia Seals Smith. Granted each one had a son named Archibald Bryant Smith but when Maddox transcribed the will of William Eaton Smith he inserted the name of Elizabeth Lewis after the name of Archibald Bryant Smith. I have a copy of the original and she is NOT named in the will. Because marriage records gave the marriage date for an Archibald Bryant Smith and Elizabeth Lewis, Maddox assume it was Archibald, the son of William & Althea Smith, overlooking Archibald, the son of Sampson and Sophia Smith. I also have a copy of Elizabeth Lewis Smith's will. We know she is in our Smith line. Sampson Smith b 1775 Ireland d.
