    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: McDonald, Newton, Walden Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/He.2ADE/579.599.742.1.1.1 Message Board Post: I have relatives in Jefferson County late 1700's and forward. I am trying to find a connection between your James McDonald and my John Walden relative. From Jefferson County Court of Ordinary Minutes Book A 1801-1815 it reads: Monday 15 July, 1811 - On the petition of John Walden praying that Moses Newton Executor of the Estate of James McDonald deceased be directed to make title to the petioner to a certain tract of land containing 300 acres in the County of Jefferson according to the ? of a bond given by the said James McDonald in his lifetime to the said John Walden it is ordered that the said Moses Newton Executor of said deceased do make title to the said John Walden or his heirs in terms of the Acts of the General Assembly in such cases. (Moses Newton hired Attorney John Guyton to appeal the will of James McDonald.) I remember looking at this will of James McDonald last year but can't remember what was in it. I'm probably wrong but seems like a daughter Jane or Mary J was mentioned? My John Walden was married to Jane unknown and I have not proven who she was. Could she be related to James McDonald or Moses Newton. There was also a Moses Walden which I have not proof but feel strongly is a son of my direct line Samuel Walden of Jefferson Co., GA. Do you know of any connection?
