This on-line copy of a 1940 Bible transcription was posted in the rootsweb newsletter back in the fall 2002. http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/nc/craven/bibles/hall01.txt Someone here may have missed it since it was listed as the Hall Bible in Craven County, NC. I know I didn't look but fortunately another relation did. It begins with the Halls, and mentions the Askews, Heaths, Jones and Griffins. I know thatof the second generation listed, Elisha Hall and Elizabeth Askew lived in Wilkinson Co, GA They had a son William Askew Hall that we knew had 4 daughters but according to this there was a fifth. I have met someone on-line whose husband is descended from a Heath half-brother of this William. She has lots of info and loves to meet other relations. The Griffin's are the last family listed. The Bible is said to have been transcribed in 1940 and was found in Morgan County, GA. So presumably, the Griffin family were the last in the line to own and record data in the Bible. Of the 4 of William A Hall's daughters I know about, two married Chambers and two married Willises but these marriages unfortunately aren't listed in the record. For all to whom this is useful, have fun! Rhonda Raye
