Could be, that would be a good one also .... but he may mean the STATE CENSUS', some of which were taken in the in between years (in between, for instance, the 1850 and 1860, meaning "1855", for example.) I dont think all states did them routinely the same, but many do have State census' taken in different years from the FEDERAL CENSUS, which was taken every ten years in this country, beginning with 1790.
