I think I had heard Cynthia was mar. to Wm. in between. But I have no evidence. Just what others 'said' over the years. That's where I thought all the children came from for himn -- from 3 wives? I dont know, I'm still working on figuring how my CELIA WYNN WATKINS was related to WM. WYNN b. 1790 Burke Co.GA!! I am thinking she may have been a sister to him, not daughter. Does anyone know of the children's names of WM. WYNNE & ELIZ. ECHOLS, who are Wm.'s parents, right?? Cynthia McGowan (b. Abt 1840) was the daughter of Jimpsey McGowan and Jane (maiden name unknown) and she married Solomon Thompson in 1857, when she was about 17 years old. Since Susannah Hinson didn't die until 1861, it is highly unlikely that Cynthia McGowan was ever married to William "Billy" Wynn. Solomon Thompson didn't die until 1909, and, I believe, outlived Cynthia by several years, and as far as I know they were married throughout. I've only heard of William Wynn having two wives, Susannah "Susan" Hinson and Letha Stevens Thigpen (by whom he had two additional children). Incidentially, Susannnah "Susan" Hinson Wynn's obit listed her as the mother of 20 children. I think I had heard Cynthia was mar. to Wm. in between. But I have no > evidence.
