Sharon, Thank you for your reply :)! I have all the census' I know of for John H., but had never looked at the 1860 for Joseph & Georgiann. I still wonder though about the marriage date for John & Tabitha since Grandmother Nancy was born two months after their listed marriage date. This marriage date could very well be a typo given that the Wilkinson County USGENWEB page has Grandfather William marrying an Adele Willis on the 27th of August 1864 & that is the date on his & Nancy's marriage license & neither were married to anyone else before they married each other, nor did Nancy marry after William died. I swear a lot of our brick walls may be easier if census records were done as they were in 1900 before 1900...lol. I believe John, or Tabitha's, will would answer a lot of questions if I could find out where to find it/them...lol. Sincerely, Lena Sharon <shamner@mindspring.com> wrote: The 1850 Census of Wilkinson County shows Georgian Wynne 15 [b. 1835] in household of John and Tabitha Lord. Nancy is shown as being born 1839 and is shown as Nancy Lord. It does not indicate the relationship of Georgianne Wynne to John and Tabitha Lord. The 1860 Census of Wilkinson Co. shows a Joseph F. Chandler and Georgia A. Chandler is shown as 25 years old. So apparently Georgianne Wynne married Joseph F. Chandler. A Polly Wynn, age 40 is in their household. They are living in Lord's Dist of Wilkinson County in the same area as John H. and Tabitha Lord. -----Original Message----- From: JRA [mailto:janie_reb_aingeal@yahoo.com] Sent: Monday, September 26, 2005 4:51 PM To: GAWILKIN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [GAWILKIN-L] Lord-Wynn Have you ever had one of those days where it dawns on you that dates in your tree do not match the youngins? For months I have been looking at John H. Lord & Tabitha Wynn's marriage date of 09 December 1838. Well, Georgiann was born in 1835 & my G3Grandmother Nancy Mildred Lord was born 13 February 1839. So, there are a few scenarios here: 1. Tabitha was married to a Wynn before John, but which Wynn? 2. The marriage date is off, for Tabitha would have been pregnant when she married John. 3. Tabitha was pregnant & the father was John so they had to get married before Nancy was born. How can I obtain a will for John & Tabitha?
