    3. The map is confusing because part of it was even missing (right in the middle).... The biggest clue you gave in this last note was the Land District 28th. That was over in Twiggs --- on the Ocumulgee River --- just like you said!! I apologize because I named the river wrong --- the map we have on-line... http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ga/wilkinson/photos/landlots.htm is showing ONLY Wilkinson Land Lots....and those Land Districts would have been 3, 4 5, and a small part of 26, 23, and 27. And the river on the East side is the Oconee. (I apologize for my poor Georgia Geography! The Land Districts all used the numerical sequence 1- 240, etc. so you do have to be very careful when you're looking at the maps to be sure you are following within the same Land District. Sometimes those Land Lot numbers will fall right next to each other --- but when you look closely the Land District line falls between them. http://www.cviog.uga.edu/Projects/gainfo/hallsmap.htm This map shows the Land Districts through out Georgia....not shown are the land lots within each district. We NEED one for TWIGGS county ---- if anyone has it.
