http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ga/wilkins.htm Poldi Tonin has provided us with a land lot map on-line.... The "Swamp" probably indicates that it is on land on the "waterway" of the Oculmugee River..... and from the map I think it is off one of the branches.... I'm sorry but I don't have a map that shows me the names of those streams....but hopefully someone will. If anyone has later maps which identify these streams, creeks, whatever.... I'd be glad to post it on-line as well. I would just love to be able to post more Land Grants on-line. Sandy can you share how you obtained that one? I believe all the land grants are in the Atlanta Archives, correct? It is located in what was then Wilkinson County and is plot #221 on Stone Creek in the Ocmulgee Swamp. He signed the grant in June of 1807 and his name was John Clark. Is there anyone on the list who is familiar with this area and can tell me where it is in modern terms? Sandy [email protected] t w Virginia Crilley
