I am told he was a cotton broker and very prominent in the county. His second wife, Carrie McRaney Tarpley Brown was the mother of Annie Laura Brown who married Andrew Louis Booth, who were my grandparents. I do know that he had a brother named Jesse Abram but nothing about his parents. I am hoping maybe there is a connection???
