GA.? He married Nancy Cobb (born 1812 daughter of Joshua Cobb b. abt 1760) on Jan 4, 1826 Wilkinson Co. GA. Their children were: two who are unidentified, Thomas Smith b. 1831 , d. 1865 or 1866, was killed by yankee cavalry after War Between States ( unreconstructed rebel ), married Martha D. King (daughter of Howell King ) June 1, 1854, John Smith b. 1833( married Missouri King ( daughter of Howell King ) , Mary E. Smith ( believed to have married a Henderson ), James R. Smith b. 1840, and Wiley Jasper Smith , b. June 7, 1841 d. Sept. 25, 1872. ( married Nancy Ann Elizabeth Balkans) This family lived in Wilkinson and Twiggs co. GA. Nancy Cobb Smith may have re-married before 1860 and moved to Muscogee co. GA., with some of the Cobb family. Any help with this family would be greatly appreciated ! Rebel
