Many Stanley family members are buried in the Stanley Family Cemetery off Hwy. 441 in Laurens--not far from Wilkinson Co. according to Joe Maddox's book. They are all listed in Joe Maddox's Book of Cemeteries of Wilkinson Co., Ga. Ann Elizabeth Stanley 4-1-1840 and died 6-19-1919 and Ben F. Stanley 6-28-1845 and 9-10-1872 There was also a Dr. Ben A. Stanley 9-16-1834 and died 5-17-1901. Mary Lucy Stanley McArthur 7-3-1880 and died 1963 is also buried there. According to Maddox she is the dau. of Benj. F. and Elizabeth Bass Stanley Is this the "Miss Lucy" Stanley Mcarthur who lived at Chapell's Mill in Laurens and taught piano for a number of years? If I remember correctly, she told me that she was a niece of Gen. McArthur. Can anyone corroborate this? Thanks. Thanks for this data Sharon. However, I feel sure Mary Lucy was not the daughter of Ben. He died before she was born. The had a child named Rollin Maury Stanley, but, I have no info for he/she. Winn
