    3. Harold, I list fourteen children of William and Susan Wynn. Tabitha is not listed, but that sure doesn't mean that she was not one of their children. 3. Martha "Patsy" Wynn Thompson, (b. Sept 14, 1913 - d. Aug. 27, 1904), was my great-great grandmother, and I never heard any talk of her being a twin (almost always a hot topic of generational lore if such was the case). I suppose it is possible, but I think it unlikely that she and Tabitha were twins. In fact, I too doubt that Tabitha was a the daughter of William and Susan Hinson Wynn. Wilkinson County historian Joseph Maddox (never an infallible source) says Tabitha was the daughter of William and Susan Hinson Wynn, but I think it unlikely, although Tabitha is certainly related to them, by marriage, blood, or both. Here's what I know about Tabitha Wynn. She married John Henry Lord (son of John and Nancy Minton Lord - my g-g-g maternal grandparents) on Dec. 9, 1838. She was born about 1813 (the 1850 census lists her age as 37, in 1860 she's listed as 47, and as 56 in 1870), and died between 1870 and 1880, as John Henry Lord is listed as a widower in the 1880 census. Tabitha probably already had two children when she married John Henry Lord, as 15 year old girl, ³Georgiann Wynne,² is listed as a member of John and Tabaitha¹s household in the 1850 census. Further, the 1840 census, two years after John and Tabitha married, lists the household of John H. Lord as consisting of one male 20 to 30 (John H.), one female to 5 (Georgiann Wynn), one female 5 to 10 (?), and one female 20 to 30 (Tabitha). I think it quite possible that Tabitha was a widow who had previously been married to a Wynn. Tabitha¹s maiden name is unknown, but it is speculated by some that it may also have been Wynn. (The gene pool was small and back then people thought nothing of marrying their close cousins.) Some researchers think she was the daughter of Francis and Tabitha Wynn of SC and Burke County, GA. A Francis Wynn, wife Tabitha, was granted parcels of land in Burke County, GA in 1766 and 1767, where he settled and raised a family. They are reported to have had a daughter named Tabitha, but she would have been born abt. 1780. Too old for our Tabitha, but possibly closely related. Another possibility, of course, is that Tabitha had two children out of wedlock before marrying John Henry Lord. She and In any case, I don't include her on my list of the children of William and Susan Hinson Wynn, but I have an open mind about it. For the record, the following is my list of the children of William and Susan Hinson Wynn. I welcome any comments, corrections, suggestions, etc. (It'd for sure be a lot easier to figure out if they hadn't married their cousins so often and all given their kids the same names!!) William H. Wynn - b. about 1812, d. about 1852 - No record of any marriage Martha "Patsy" Wynn - b. Sept. 14, 1813, d. Aug. 27, 1904 - Married James Russell Thompson Annie (Ann) Wynn - b. abt 1815 - married Winnifred Bailey Josiah Wynn - b. about 1816 - m. Louisa Freeman Mary Elizabeth Pauline "Polly" Wynn - b. Dec. 26, 1821, d. Dec. 1, 1907 - Married Oliver Harmon Bailey Clarissa Teresa "Rittie" Wynn - b. about 1822 - Married Obediah Wynn (Relationship unknown, probably a cousin) Obediah Wynn - b. abt 1825 - Married Nancy Crumbley Lucinda "Cynthia" Wynn - b. Oct 11, 1828, d. June 29, 1908 - Married John E. Duncan Bernita Wynn - b. abt 1831, d. abt. 1863 - Married Elbert Davis Sousannah "Susan" Wynn - b. about 1834 - Married William W. Miller Elizabeth "Betsy" Wynn - b. about 1837 - Married Lewis Andrew Wynn (relationship unknown, probably another cousin) Louisa Wynn - b. about 1839 - Married George Wright Braswell Wynn - b. Dec. 13, 1838, d. Nov. 23, 1926 - Married Asenath Kittles There are a couple of other names I've come across that "might" be children of William and Susan Hinson Wynn, and I include them below for consideration: Adeline Wynn - A daughter according to Joe Maddox. I find no other record of her. Burrell G. Wynn - In the 1840 census a Burrell G. Wynn, age 20 to 30, is living in with his young wife (age 15 to 20) in a household adjacent to William and Susan Wynn and known son Josiah Wynn. Andrew Wynn - b. about 1818. Andrew Wynn, age 32, is listed as a member of the household of William and Susan Wynn in 1850., One wonders if this is a son, or could it be the Lewis Andrew Wynn, son of John Wynn (possible brother to William), who later married William and Susan Wynn¹s daughter Elizabeth ³Betsy² Wynn (who was 13 in 1850)? 3. Oops, I inadvertently left out one of the known children of William and Susan Hinson Wynn! Please add Frances Wynn, b. about 1818, d.
