    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/He.2ADE/873.7.1.3.1.1 Message Board Post: I saw your question about Sinia having Creek Indian heritage. I have a copy of the Will of William Mackey, 1789-1870, son of William and Hoppoi Miccoi Mackey, Legend from Indian affairs was that Hoppoi was the daughter of Creek Indian Chief Miccoi. Mackeys grandfather allegedly operated a trading post on the Oconee River, before Wilkinson was made a county. It would seem there is a great possibliity of Creek Indian heritage in the Mackey line if not the McRanie. If you do not have a copy of this will, it is pretty informative. This William is married to "Sinia" and his father is married to Hoppoi. In most of the information I had, it referred to her as Hopie Mackey. I can email you a copy if you do not have one.

    3. Sylvia, I found your info on the Mackeys very helpful. I have some connections to the Eheridges & Mackeys through Samuel & John Wheeler. Could you please send me a copy of William Mackey's will and anything else you think would be helpful? Thank you. Keith Stevens.
