*HI ALL: Is anyone aware of the above-referenced family lines? They are related to my Stembridge line, inlaws, and I'd LOVE to find someone else who is from or knows of this line... at least more than I do! My grandfather was BENJAMIN "FRANK"lin STEMBRIDGE b. 1892 Glynn Co.GA, but res. Crawfd Co. GA and then into Bibb Co.GA. His parents were JOSEPH B. STEMBRIDGE & SARAH 'AMELIA' Patterson Stembridge. On the 1900 Bibb Co. census, my gr'father "Frank", 8 yrs old, and all his younger sibs, all live not with their parents (no where to be found), but in the household of their older sister, ANNIE VERNELIA STEMBRIDGE who was then mar. to FRANK BREEDLOVE. They had a young daughter, LAURA, and all these younger siblings of Annie's living in their household. I imagine their mother prob died, and perhaps their father, or perhaps he took off, dont know)... Somehow, when he was 17, and his parents are no where to be found on census', etc., FRANK is then shown living in the household (in Enigma, Berrien Co.) with JOHN BENTON G UNN & his wife MARTHA BUSSEY GUNN. He is listed as "dopted son", I assume meaning 'adopted son'. I have NO IDEA ON EARTH how he came to live with them at that young age, and probably younger... I wish I knew! SEvl. yrs. later, Frank ends up marrying the GRANDDAUGHTER OF JOHN BENTON GUNN & MARTHA, namely, Onie Jones, and Frank and Onie were my grandparents. (John & Mattie Gunn had daughter, MINNIE EUGENIA GUNN, she mar. C.I. JONES of charlton Co., and they are the parents of Onie JOnes.) OK, back to the story: So......... fast forward a bit.......... 1910 Census (Shelby Co. TN) shows FRANK & ANNIE BREEDLOVE'S DAUGHTER, LAURA, marr. to IRWIN OLIVER. Irwin is 30, Laura is "19" (wow, bit of an age difference!) ... but then I see as THEIR 'Daughter" (could it be???), a girl named Eugenia, age "7" --- if she is Laura's actual daughter, that would have made Laura a mother at age 12 ! I know they marr. young in those days, but that seems a bit far-fetched. Of course, Laura could be STEPmother I suppose, and father could be the actual Father of Eugenia.
