Elijah Mathews is listed on the 1850 census of Wilkinson County. I am descended through Elijah's and Mary Cobb Mathews/Mathis' daughter Sarah Ann Mathews who married Alexander Shores in Wilkinson County, 24 August 1848. I think that Levi Mathews, who married Sarah A.E. Cobb in Wilkinson County in 1845, was the son of Elijah. I am interested in any information on theses Mathews and Cobb families. Thank you .
