The Ramah Guards, Volunteer Infantry C.S.A. left for Virginia from the church after impressive ceremonies and a flag presentation. Many descendants of people prominent in Ramah District still reside nearby. The Sanders Association sponsored this marker as a memorial to the Christian spirit of Ramah's founders. 153-3 Georgia Historical Commission 1955 File at: http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/ga/wilkinson/photos/ramahchu4436gph.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb

Hello, my name is Helena-Suzanne & I am the G3Granddaughter of William Henry Harrison Bailey through his son Minza Leonard & Lillie Belle DRAKE Bailey (Grandfather Minzy's first wife) & I would like to politely correct the myth of Grandfather William being married to Adeline Willis as I have also seen it. Per his marriage license, William Henry Harrison Bailey married Nancy Mildred LORD on 27 August 1864 by O. H. P. Rawls, J.I.C.. As well this Nancy Lord, daughter of John H. Tabitha Wynn Lord was never married to Elijah Farmer or anyone else but William, it was a different Nancy Lord whose parents I do not know. I know this through two mediums, in the 1870 or 1880 Census Elijah is listed with this Nancy & Grandfather William is listed with Grandmother Nancy, as well Ray (my grandfather) remembers MeMom (his Mom, Mary Mildred BAILEY Griner-named after her grandmother Mary WATSON Drake & Nancy) taking him every summer up to Dodge County to visit her Grandmother Nancy until she died (they would spend the whole summer with her) & she never remarried according to him. In the 1910 Census both William & Nancy list their marriage together as their first marriage. I realize this may sound like an odd way to correct family information, but I figure if we do not share information or correct information damage can be done to our family trees. To add a bit more about William & Nancy, if y'all don't mind. William died 17 October 1921 & Nancy died 18 February 1926, five days after her eighty-seventh birthday (strong stock we Southerner's are :) ). They had six children. Cordellia Anna "Annie" L. **Minza Leonard William Hugh James Franklin The last child I do not know the name of, it is quite possible he or she died after birth or as a young child. One of William & Nancy's daughters married a Mumford & had a son named Otis. Sincerely, Lena GrannyWee1940@aol.com wrote: Hi all BAILEY WINN/WYNN kin folks Here is what I have on BAILEY Laurens Co.,GA marriages Book G 53 Burrell BAILEY Polly LAND 20 Sep 1812 B Pg 43 (In IRWIN Co.,GA 1820) 195 Cullen D(ean) BAILEY Elizabeth HERIN 6 Oct 1837 E Pg 23 195 Wynnsford H. The children I have are William born 1841; Queen Mary born 1842; Susan born 11/29/1843; Roxyann born 9/5/1844; Elizabeth born 1845; John born 1849; Augustus born 1851; Burwell born 1854 and Louisa born 1857. Aunt Mamie Thompson described Roxyann as being a "fine wonderful woman". Does anyone know how she died? Thanks Harold

Please e-mail me at nancyhiggons@aol.com at your earliest convenience and let me know how I can purchase it - Thank you very much - Sincerely, Nancy Higgons P.S. I am related to a Hall family from Wilkinson I think. I have been searching forever for my grandmother many generations back, one Nancy Hall - born 11/6/1804 in what became Laurens, where she married Frederick Faircloth in 1823 and they later got land in Dooley and Wilcox. They are buried in Wilcox. I have been there and have seen their gravestones. They had 12 children and I can not find out who her parents were. I know Laurens was formed in 1807 and she was born in 1804. If not Wilkinson County, do you have any idea what other counties of that era I should investigate? Thanks so much!
I don't have Roxyann's father, but according to Lena's email it was Wynnsford Harrison Bailey. ----- Original Message ----- From: <WATSON6363@aol.com> To: <GAWILKIN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, September 11, 2005 4:01 PM Subject: Re: [GAWILKIN-L] Bailey Family Do you know who Roxyann's father was? ==== GAWILKIN Mailing List ==== Check out this great GA RESOURCES PAGE: http://www-personal.umich.edu/~cgaunt/georgia.html
