However as it turns out, Laurens was not formed until 1807! I have been searching for her people for years - any Hall names welcome. Also, I have the same problem with my Louisa Elizabeth Miles, the daughter of Jesse (could have been Jesse L. or another first name and then Jesse???) and Elizabeth (maiden name unknown) Miles. Any Miles in there? Thanks for any help you could give me! Nancy Higgons nancyhiggons@aol.com

    2. Tami Johnston
    3. Hi All: Once again I am seeking my elusive Johns(t)on family. Here is alittle about them: David Johns(t)on b. 1787 in Wilkinson County, Georgia d. 1852 in Plaquemines Parish, LA. He moved to Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana by the 1830s. He was a riverboat pilot. He married Hanna Frederika Hoffman in 1840. They had one son named Alexander Henry Johns(t)on. Alex married Magdlena Keissel (Sherwood) in 1863. They had 3 children: Walter Jarvis b. 1863, Hanna Caroline b. 1865, and David McCoy b. 1867. Does this family sound familiar to anyone? I have not been able to trace to any of David's siblings, but I do know that he did have siblings according to his will in 1852, none of them were still leaving at that time. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated, Tami Johnston New Orleans, Louisiana JOHNSTON/HOFFMAN/WEISHEIMER/KEISSEL/HIGGINS/HORNER/ZWEIFEL/CLOVAK/DOCLAUR/ AND MANY MANY OTHERS ... 2. According to "Wilkinson County Georgia Historical Collections" by Maddox, I found the following: Will Abstracts (1817-1920) Genealogical data added SARAH HUDSON Signed June 27, 1867. Probated Nov. term of court 1870. She was a Ballaard and her first husband was Samuel Wheeler. She married Mr. Hudson late in life. Heirs: Son Ira Wheeler, wife Jane Stevens, Daughters Martha J. Roberts and Sarah M. Herndon, wife of George. She also had a daughter Linna who married Linson Walden. LINSON, Walden (1824-1722) Wives Linna Wheeler, daughter of Samuel and Sarah Ballard Wheeler. (See will of Sarah Hudson) and Ann Lasseter daughter of Abraham Lasseter. Does not mention children in will, but the 1860 census lists them as follows: Mary, no record, Ella married William Crubley. Martha, Leila and Gertrude, no record. Jennie married B.F. Helton. Emma married a Mr. Williams and Eula married W.N. Pace.
