It is not an easy site to navigate, but if you can get going, you might find somethign worthwhile. I will chk. it again. Noticed a Wright Family name and ran across a mention of Asa Wright in a Wilkinson Co., Deed. Does anyone have information on Asa Wright. The name shows up in Madison, Putnam and Oglethorpe Counties in the 1820's. My problem is Asa Wright was the administrator of the estate (intestate) of John Wynn of Putnam County (1829 (my ggg grandfather). Sounds simple? Asa accepts a share of the settlement "in right of his wife" (no name). Still simple? Asa Wright is also the administrator of the estate (intestate) of John Wynn (d. 1823) OF MADISON CO., GA (no he's not the other John's father). In that estate his wife Lucy is named. Is this the same Asa Wright or 2 different ones? Anyone researching Wrights have any info here? Jack Wynn Happy Hunting! Jack Wynn jwynn@mindspring.com

*HI ALL: Just saw over on the Hooks gedcom webpage (www.my-ged.com/hooks) that there are 441 HOOKS' listed on this site. Plus tons of other related names. Does anyone know of the following couple?? Reason I ask is that I also have a Hooks/Holliman couple, and can't place her in a family with her parents and sibs. Maybe there's a connection and I could follow up on this James guy, as perhaps he's a relative to mine.... JAMES M.K. HOLLOMAN m. Anna Jane HOOKS, 21 Feb 1830 (This is the only other Holloman/Hooks marr. I've seen besides mine, which is: PRUDENCE HOOKS b. 1788 GA m. John HOLLIMAN (sp?) b. 1785 GA They res. Wilkes Co. and Wlknson Co.GA. Wondering if possibly Prudence Hooks could be sister to Anna Hooks (who are their parents?????) and if James M.K. Holloman could be related to my JOHN HOLLIMAN (sp?) If anyone knows of these folks, pls. get in touch.....Thanks. *TINA/CA* tina@tcsn.net
The Hooks Ged Com has had another line added. Check it out. > > http://www.my-ged.com/hooks
Good job Suzie! looks good, love, cousin Linda Wilkinson county surnames: Wright, Sutton,Horn and others Does anyone have any NeSmiths in their line. There is a James NeSmith and a Nancy NeSmith 13/02/1836-28/05/1879 buried in the Wright Family cemetary. Just wondering what the connection was to the Wright family if any
If anyone is interested, Jeff could easily set-up on the Gen Connect System (just like the Queries) Boards for individuals to post Bios and Obits for Wilkinson County. They would work exactly like the Query boards....and the Search Engines would work for them as well. If you have some material like this to contribute, just mention it on this list, (or even send it to the List !) and I'm sure Jeff will be willing to set these additional Boards up. Virginia
