I've queried before, but I understand that we have so many more subscribers now, I figure I might get something new. Can anyone tell me about Iverson or Kilby JONES? They were in Wilkinson in the early to mid 1800s and left a large family I understand. Iverson was Kilby's son. TO JOANN ROBERTS: RE your below email.... What exactly are you searching for??? For the parents/famioy of Jack Gordon Jones?? If so, you have some good years to work with. If he was killed in 1926, then you can find him (alive!) on the 1920 and the 1910 Census for Wlknsn Co., if that's where he was. Find him on either or both of those census, and it will give alot of info on him and his parents, etc. It will show WHERE HE *and* EACH OF HIS PARENTS AND SIBLINGS were born ..... and his wife of course, and each of his children. It will tell apprx what YR., because it will show the ages ....actually, in those later census', it may even show their birthdate at the date of the census, which is even better. If you know how OLD he was when he was killed, and you know the year, you can figure out what YEAR he was born, and you'llk now what state and perhaps county, and you then go back to THAT STATE/COUNTY for that YEAR, and find parents of that last name, and look for a child that would match up with his NAME and AGE. If you need any further help with this, let me know; will be glad to help. (If you already have done all this or know abt it, forgive my lengthy description! I'm never quite sure WHAT people know till I ask.....) GOOD LUCK! *TINA/CA* List Mgr. PS I have a JONES line myself, but not this county or this side of my family. KNOW WHAT FOLKS? as many Bracks as I've seen listed in census records for this county, I haven't heard one word from any since I have been posting on this list. I have been on this list since day #1! Brack?? 1900 Census? 1910? 1880?? If you are at a brick wall, I'd suggest looking for EVERYTHING on him/them that you can.... all census records that are available that he'd be on and check the LDS FHLC (FAM HIST LIB.CATALOG) for everything on Wilkinson/Laurens Co., that could show something on him. You might also want to go a roundabout way, and follow up on the DAUGHTERS and see who they married ... (check IGI/Ancestral File for this), and maybe following those dtrs along might give you some leads. Perhaps lead you to Submitters of info on them, that could bring a lead. Also, if you havent already tried putting in the name BRACK in the FHLC under SURNAMES, see what shows up..... maybe a history mentioning them.....
