If you are using Internet Explorer. Go to the FILE menu in the upper left hand corner and in the drop down list you will find IMPORT and EXPORT. Click on it and follow the directions. I frequently backup my favorites on a disk. You can import them by doing the same. I have saved individual emails but not the amount of messages you have. Suggest you look in your help file. I have just bought a new computer and I would like to copy all of the messages (over 200) in 20 email folders from my old computer to my new. The only way I can figure out how to do this, is to set my old computer to look for new messages every 24 hours. Then to forward each message individually to myself. Connect my new computer and then retrieve the messages. There has got to be a better, faster way. I am having the same problem with my favorites listings. I am having to manually enter the web address on my new computer and then save the site to my favorites. ==== GAWILKIN Mailing List ==== *Don't forget to visit the WILKINSON CO. *RESOURCE* Page: http://resources.rootsweb.com/USA/GA/Wilkinson/

His whole name is William Wiley Shepherd. He died in 1851 at the age of 71. That date of death can be found in information at Liberty Baptist Church in Wilkinson County. His eldest son's name was Berry B. Shepherd.
A few of you like Sylvia may be very familiar with the Mackey and Etheridge lines and might be able to identify links in that family to two other Mackey women from that area described below: Charity Mackey -- said to be the mother of Benjamin Mitchell's first child Charity Mitchell Ross Hall. This daughter is referred to in Benjamins Mitchell's will as his "reputed" child and is referred to elsewhere as his "woods colt." Tabitha Mackey -- married George Crumbley (son of Anthony Crumbley ) of Washington Co.. Some have claimed her birth to be in VA in 1790, and I've wondered if she or the Charity Mackey above could be other daughters or close kin of William Mackey (father of Hopie Mackey), Creek trader, who brought his children to the area that became Wilkinson Co. There are several Mackey tales or legends with different information, and I'm interested in possible early linkages, some apparently Creek, among the Mackeys, Crumbleys and Mitchells. These families seem to have been settlers and traders in the land along and near the Oconee River by the 1770s and 1780s. There's obviously a lot of information later (after 1805) on the these families, but it's difficult working back and getting much information on the first John Crumbley (b. ~ 1775) in Wilkinson Co. and others who arrived very early in the area. Thanks. --- Steve

I saw your note in with other messages. I can't find anything on the people you name. And as far as the book. I was perhaps misleading. The book is out of print as far as I know. I ordered the microfilm copy of it from my local Family History Center. I took down lots of information as I have a boat load of ancestors in Wilkinson County, Georgia. I will be glad to look up any other information you may need. Sylvia
