Surnames: Davis, Potts, Boon(e), Bruner Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/He.2ADE/997.2.2 Message Board Post: I was so tired that night that I have no idea what I was responding to. I hit a wrong button and posted a new message instead of a response. I am descended from Henry Davis and Nancy Potts and Henry E. Davis and Mary Ann Boon(e). After that we are from different branches. Mine is Ratliff Ferdinand Davis (Ferd) and Lou Ella Bruner. Even though we are from different branches, I find your info fascinating. I can't help with any definitive answers. The very few people researching my branch have the info that you dispute. You may very well be right. Were there two or more Mary Ann's? Maybe that is the problem and someone made an erroneous assumption. Family bibles tend to be pretty good sources. The name patterns are a good clue. But, they are sometimes misleading. For example, one family I am researching has a child named Banner in almost every household in a couple of generations. The census info should be pretty good. But, still confusing if there is more than one Mary Ann. I don't know if there is. It's just something to check out. Finding that may help prove you right and explain the error. Let me know what you think.
I posted a reply on the Ancestry message board. I am not real familiar with the mailing lists so, I dont know if it comes through on the lists as well. Wasnt sure who you were reponding to with your reply. You are descended through Ratliff Ferdinand and Bruner ? My grandfather Henry was Ferd's brother. See line on GAWIlkin Ancestry message board. Mr. Cobb died 9-3-1906 and was also buried there but when his wife (Malissa Nichols Cobb) died d. 1921, she was buried at Hardies Chapel, which is close by. I think that they were members at the Hardies Chapel Church.

Eileen has shared the data she surveyed from this Nunn-Wheeler cemetery --- and maybe with everyone working together we could add to it. http//www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ga/wilkins.htm Take a look at the cemeteries we have --- and remember I would love to add "notes" about anybody listed in any cemetery. Think of it as adding a bouquet of flowers to the graveside....
JOHN NUNN WAS MARRIED TO ELIZABETH PRAT JOHN NUNN HAS A MARKER IN THE NUNN AND WHEELER CEMETERY FAMILY LEGEND HAS BEEN PASSED THAT THERE ARE UNMARKED GRAVES OUTSIDE OF THE FENCE . I found birth and death year, but no months and no spouse showed up. Connected to him would be Rebecca Wheeler Bloodworth Adline C Wheeler Adams Isaac Johns I found their birth/death dates but would there be more info on them in your book? Can't find Eli Wheeler anywhere either. I am curious about the Susan Wheeler (dau of John Nunn) buried in the Golden cemetery. Just where did the Golden family come into the Wheelers? Would there be any Nichols/Nicholsons in your book. I have seen the 3 listings in the Nichols cemetery. There should be more somewhere, I guess they are just unmarked. Thanks. Emma Lou
