Below is my research and data from 3 of their descending lines (Henry and Mary Ann Davis) Can anyone tell me where the above information came from originally. I have been in contact with long time Boon/Boone researchers (30 years or longer) and no one seems to know. Her birthdate was Oct. 25, 1822. [NOTE from elizabeth-I have bd on reliable sources from 1821 and 1822.] So, she married when she was about 15 or 16. If she was born in 1822. Which of the Boon households does she best fit in the 1830 Census of Wilkinson Co.? The young female in Jacob's house was born between 1810-1815--much older than Mary Ann. Ratliff has one female UNDER 10. This is the age of Mary Ann. With the Bible Records, this census, and the fact that she moved with Ratliff and Sassy there is credible evidence she was the daughter of Ratliff and Sassy Boon not Jacob and Sallie Boon. discussion #2 There would be no reason for the person who saw the Bible listing Ratliff & Sassy Boon as Mary Ann's parents to try to change parents. Also in 1850 Sallie/Sarah Boone, widow of Jacob, was in Louisiana. So while, Jesse went with his Uncle Ratcliff it would make sense that Mary Ann would stay nearer her parents: Satsy/Patsy and Ratcliff. And the name Satsy has been passed down through this line at least twice and once for Leah, which gives further credence to all of this. [Note from Elizabeth-the bible of Bea Flournoy, granddaughter of Mary Ann Boon says her name was Sattia Leah] Looking at the evidence pointing to Ratliff/Ratcliff and Satsy being the parents of Mary Ann, it's this, not what anyone says makes the difference. discussion #3 1830 Census of Wilkinson County, Georgia: James Boon had 1 female under 5 and 1 female 10-15 plus female 40-50 He was living next to Hansford Davis (my great uncle) Ratliff Boon had 1 female under 5, 2 females 5-10, 1 female 10-15 plus female 40-50 Jacob Boon had 1 female 15-20 and 1 female 40-50 The above is from Wilkinson County, Georgia Census Records of White Families 1820-1880 by Victor R. Myrick In 1840 Henry Davis is shown with 1 male 20-30; 1 female under 5, and 1 female 15-20 [ this fits in with the age of Mary Ann Boon]. ONLY JAMES AND RATLIFF had females of the right age to be Henry's wife. Of course we are assuming that the census data is correct. The 1820 Census shows Jacob with no young females. Mary Ann would have been a year or two old.

Josiah first listed as a resident of Wilkinson Co. Ga. 1820. Katherine had at least one brother named Joseph that married Violet Winn. As best I can tell he is the only male to have had children, others are listed on the census as children of Josiah but never appear as a head of house in later census records. Katherine was never married that I can find, but mothered seven children only one of which I have doubts about as to whether it was her first or her mothers last (Lucinda born 1841) (George born 1841) (Elizabeth born 1846) (Sally born 1849 died 1926) (Caroline Olive born 1853) (Frances born 1856) (Fannie born 1858) Lucinda is also listed as a daughter of Josiah at one point. If you have any other information would love to see it. What I have is posted on Ancestry .com. Most information came from census records and family history. Some of which seems imposible to confirm due to deaths of the ones that knew Sally.
*Hey, folks, don't forget, you can view the 1880 CENSUS for the U.S. online at the LDS genealogy website. It's not just an index either, but a typed Census from the original. I looked up some of my Wilkinson Co. names last night. Has all the info, from what I remembr, that the actual handwritten one has. Just go to: www.familysearch.org and on the left side of page, CLICK ON "CENSUS" -- then choose the 1880 U.S. -- Happy hunting! (I will be out of state starting next FRI, and gone for 2-3 weeks. I'm sure I will be inundated w/emails when I return!!) *Tina*

Do you have any idea where the Iverson came from ? I have some distant ancestors that used the first name, Iverson, and have often wondered was that originally may be a wife's maiden name and it got passed down or what. Just curiosity. A reply would be appreciated. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, April 01, 2003 9:08 PM Subject: [GAWILKIN-L] Re: Andrew Iverson Carter > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.families.aol.com/mbexec/msg/4300/He.2ADE/282.286.2 > > Message Board Post: > > please email me at [email protected] for info on andrew carter >

Surnames: Miller, Harris, Dutton, Williams, Burke, Parker, Daughtry, Brannen Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/He.2ADE/1014 Message Board Post: I am looking for information on this family from the 1850 Wilkinson Co census: Household 581: A.L. Miller age 40, railroad manager b Va, wife Priscilla age 32, John L age 10, Rutilina E? age 9 (her name may have been Magdalena), Martha Ann age 7, Eliza J age 5, George Washington age 4, Drury age 3, and Eglentine age 2. I believe that this is my husband's 2great-grandfather, Andrew Lewis Miller b 3-9-1809 Va or Tn, died 8-1865 Screven Co Ga. He and his brother William are buried in the Cornelius Burke Cemetery in Screven Co Ga. Another brother, Drury, lived in Pickens Co Al. These brothers were probably born in Monroe Co Tn. Andrew's wife was Priscilla Harris b 1816 Monroe Co Tn, daughter of George C Harris and Sarah McCray. Eliza married a Howell. Another daughter married William Cory. Four more sons were born by 1860 - William Thomas, Andrew Jackson, James P and David S Miller. I cannot find this family in Wilkinson or Screven in 1860, but William, Priscilla, and most of the children are found in Screven by 1870. William died in 1873, leaving his estate to his brother Drury and to his nieces and nephews. Any information on this family or any association with Wilkinson Co families would be greatly appreciated.
