I have read the whole Davidson book online and didnt pay a subscription fee. I wonder how I did that....? I had asked about buying it and someone sent a link and it is all there. Dont remember where or what the link might be. Contact the Historical society in Wilkinson County for the Maddox books. Again, dont know the address. Sorry. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, May 19, 2003 8:35 PM Subject: Re: [GAWILKIN-L] Wilkinson Co., GA Books Knight/Vaughn > The History of Wilkinson County by Victor Davidson is available online > through Heritage Quest (Geneaology.com) There is a subscription fee to > access this but it is well worth it. If anyone finds out the subscription fee or the cost of the Maddox book, would you please post back to the list. I have access to the books but not convenient access. Perhaps too, the one by Victor Davidson would be easier searching on a computer version. Yes, that's the one! That's a good book too, full of info. I'm not sure if there are many duplications from from book-to-book, but both seem to have alot of info. I had the Davidson book a few yrs ago, but it had a fight with a rotten banana (in my book bag I had them both in), and the banana won! Sorry I lost that book, now I can't find it at that price anymore - cheapest I've seen is $80. If anyone has it and would like to sell it to me (cheaper than $80) please get in touch via email. Maddox' book is very good, and there's another one (I forget the author's name...anyone want to enlighten me?) that is also very good, which is harder to find; and when you find it, usually it's about $80!
