My grandfather's middle name was Isbell {James Isbell Slaten}. We are from Monroe County, Tennessee via South Carolina. I have noticed a number of Isbell familiies in the tri-county area of Loudon, Monroe, and McMinn counties, Tennessee. Then on this forum is listed one Slaton Isbell. I'm wondering what the relationship is, if any. I have done about 10 years research on the Slaton/Slaten families and have quite a lot of information on them. Will be glad to share information.
