Hello Frances I am trying to find the parents of my gggrandmother Mary who married Micajah Wall by 1792 and was living in Greene Co. GA. I think that Mary's maiden name may have been Young. She named on of her sons John and another Young, I think this may have been after John Young (may have been her brother) who traveled with her and her family from Greene Co. GA into the Ms Territory in 1800. Around 1770 there was a Peter Wall living next to Arthur Wall in St. George's Parish. At Mary's death her obit states she was born in Wilkes Co. in 1774. I know I am pulling at straws but I have no information on Mary before she marries Micajah Wall. Any information that you can give me to help prove or disapprove that she was a Young will be appreciated. Thanks, Priscilla Scott <Donna, there is some evidence that the Gibson family was associated with the George Young, Jr., of Wilkes and Oglethorpe Counties. George was the guardian of some Gibson children but I do not know if they were any that you listed. Perhaps this may help you in some way. One of our kin was named Felix GIBSON Hawkins.
