From a folder of people at the Doylestown Library in Bucks County where he states he was born in his pension request, I saw there were 4 or 5 people who had been trying for at least 20 years to track his parents(Philip and Henry) and where the name originated. When I have followed the information out I will let you know. My daughter and grandson are coming home tomorrow and will be here til the end of the month. Everything stops when this occurs as I do not get to see them very often. I find tracing those who have died is more rewarding than my living children sometimes.
